A Clothing Drive
October 22nd–31st
There are many opportunities for hands-on volunteers and for
contributing donated items, including the following current requests:
Accepting donations of clothes, sheets, towels, shoes, purses, belts, backpacks, and other textiles. Residents will be able to pick and choose what they'd like, giving them the chance to create a fresh look for themselves to complement their new lives in the Village. Anything not used will be sold to our partner, EkoLinq so we are able to accept everything; all sizes and conditions are acceptable.
The vocational program needs:
Used candles and other wax; macramé cord, beads, yarn, and acrylic paints will be transformed into items to sell at the Village’s soon-to-be Makers’ Market.
Drop off Location:
On the front porch of the yellow house where support staff are located
1660 Freisman Rd., Livermore 94551
“Our vision is to create a community-based tiny home village for those who have been chronically homeless. We seek to provide safe and affordable living space with meaningful life activity and an opportunity to earn a dignified income so that program participants are contributing members to the greater community.” Residents began moving in this July and the village now has all 28 homes occupied!
