Kulwa is an Afro-Californian born in the San Francisco Bay Area, with African roots stretching across the Mississippi Delta and Bayous of Louisiana.
Kulwa’s Pan African parents raised her to live for the full liberation of African people throughout the Diaspora. She is an artist, educator and community health activist as well as a mental-health counselor & practitioner of the African Diasporic arts.
Kulwa received training in Public Health from UC Berkeley, and also possesses a master's in biomedical science from the University of Northern Colorado. She is honored and privileged to serve the conjoined health and cultural arts needs of individuals and communities. Kulwa is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and possesses a working knowledge of Arabic.
Kulwa is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Deep Roots Health Consortium, a Vanguard global health consulting firm, specializing in high caliber trainings for medical professionals, service providers, community advocates and health-tech professionals.
