Darlene Murphy!
Darlene studied the teachings of Joseph Campbell, “The Hero’s Journey” for a semester at Los Positas Jr. College, which she said changed her whole perspective on life. Joseph Campbell was an American mythologist, writer and lecturer.
Darlene’s presentation “Discover the Hero Within” will help us understand the mythology/story telling of how we are all Hero’s. Darlene will explain how one’s journey through life at different stage, teach the lessons we learn, through guides in our life, good or bad.
Darlene and her husband transferred from the Catholic Community of Pleasanton to St. Charles three years ago. She is active in our parish and serves as a Eucharistic Minister and as a Pastoral Council member. Darlene’s passion is her Foundation, WAVE – West Africa Village Education, which she started 15 years ago. WAVE builds schools in rural villages of Ghana.
Darlene loves to knit and sew and for the past two years during COVID, she has made over 400 masks including the ones for SCB First Communion and Confirmation candidates. She also made the beautiful Ghanian banners that hung in our church.
Darlene and her husband have been married over 50 years, and have 2 married children and 4 grandchildren.

Spend your evening enjoying an amazing dinner, in the comfort of your own home! On The Vine Catering will have your dinner packed up and ready for you to pick up on March 26 from 2 to 4 pm. A free bottle of wine is also offered for the first 90 tickets sold, so don’t delay. Most of our charitable funds come from our live auction events.
However, since that is not an option this year, we are asking you to consider making a direct donation, purchase a to-go dinner or two, and/or enter into our raffle to win a fabulous prize.
The funds from your tasty meal will go towards many of the charities the Livermore Knights of Columbus support such as; Goodness Village, Open Heart Kitchen, Disaster Relief, Livermore Homeless Refuge, Shepherds Gate, Las Positas College Veterans Scholarships, Special Olympics and our local schools to name a few.
