Dear Saint Charles Borromeo family,
I apologize for the late notice, but we will be POSTPONING tonight's Adult Bible Study Session, "Meet Lady Wisdom" to next Thursday, June 9th. I look forward to seeing everyone there!
Meanwhile, thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our survey regarding celebrating Sunday's 11:30 a.m. Mass outdoors!
The results were somewhat surprising...
Although the overall responses indicate a strong demand for celebrating Mass outdoors, nearly two-thirds of the participating 11:30 a.m. attendees prefer to celebrate indoors.
Several of these parishioners provided good reasons not to celebrate outdoors. The reasons included allergies, inadequate accommodations for people with disabilities, and (of course) hot weather. Additionally, the procedure for setup and teardown is extensive.
Meanwhile, a few parishioners who wish for their families to celebrate outdoors mentioned that viewing our Mass on TVs in the Keeley Center courtyard (and earlier in the day) is a good alternative.
For now, therefore, we will resume the viewing of our 9:30 a.m. live videos in the Keely Center courtyard beginning on Sunday, June 19th (Father's Day), weather permitting. This plan is subject to change, based on attendance and other factors.
A few more reminders...
1.) Launch of LGBTQIA+:
I am pleased to announce that our new Imago Dei ministry will host two amazing presenters, Sister Luisa Derouen, OP and Father Jim Schexnayder this Saturday, June 4th at 10:00 a.m. in Borromeo Hall. I invite parishioners and guests to attend this event and learn more about the LGBTQIA+ ministry. If you are unable to attend in person, click HERE to join on Zoom.
2.) Pentecost Mass and Picnic:
I look forward to seeing everyone at the Pentecost Picnic on Sunday, June 5th, which begins at 12:45 p.m. Let's have fun by celebrating our diversity!
Blessings, Everyone!
