Dear Saint Charles Borromeo family,

Later this week, I will be out of town in order to officiate a wedding. Although I will return in time for this weekend's Masses, our scheduled 9:00 am Masses this Thursday and Friday will be Communion Services instead, and will not be live-streamed.
Meanwhile, I am pleased to announce that Fr. Peter Vecellio, OCD will be speaking at all Masses this coming weekend. Fr. Peter will be speaking on behalf of the mission in Uganda, East Africa. There, they strive to spread the Carmelite charism of prayer through their formation work and the work they do with the local people. We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

How are we doing? What are we Feeling? In today’s world of stress and suffering, there is a thirst and hunger for healing, hope, and joy.
Pandemics, Politics, and Pain, OH MY! San Damiano welcomes long-time master catechist, pastoral associate for children’s programs, and spiritual director, Margaret Riley, along with OCP composer, singer/storyteller, and humorist, Jesse Manibusan.
On August 20, 2022, Margaret and Jesse will lead a day-long hybrid retreat, cultivating compassion and hope. Through song, prayer, silence, group sharing, and listening, we’ll discover new ways to hold space for the good news and the difficult news; the blessings and burdens of life, and how compassion and self-compassion, are the way of Jesus. All are welcome. Come as you are!
