Dear Saint Charles Borromeo family,
As many of you know, Darlene Murphy is active with School Godenu in Ghana, her charitable organization. Unfortunately, she has learned that a fire damaged the junior high building that was significantly renovated not long ago. With many thanks to God, no one was hurt. However, the estimate to repair the damage is $10,000. Please see Darlene's letter below to learn more about the unfortunate incident.
Meanwhile, our annual Blessing of the Animals will be held on the back lawn this coming Saturday, October 1, at 10:00 a.m. All animals are welcome, and I look forward to seeing them (and you) for the blessing. This is always a fun event!
Also, be sure to read last weekend's bulletin, as it includes Jim Oliver's autobiography in article #9 of the summer series titled "Getting to Know the Leadership at St. Charles Borromeo."
Please note that our WINGS group will be providing FREE DONUTS and COFFEE for everyone after 7:30 and 9:30 a.m. Masses this Sunday! The purpose is to promote the WINGS registration table outside of the church, as their weekly gatherings will resume on the morning of Thursday, October 6 for a meet-and-greet social event.
And, finally, my new Adult Bible Study series has been postponed. It will now begin on Thursday, November 3. We will meet on Zoom at 7:00 p.m. to begin studying the five books of Moses. More information and the Zoom link will be included in upcoming Flocknotes.
Blessings, everyone!
