Dear Saint Charles Borromeo Family:
The Diocese of Oakland is taking steps to address the harm caused by clergy sexual abuse: We received information last week from Bishop Michael Barber stating, "...I write about an important moment in our journey toward rebuilding Christ’s Church, a moment in which I ask for your support."
"My prayer is that all Christians in the Diocese of Oakland live our lives as true witnesses of the love and mercy of Jesus Christ to the world and protect from harm all who come to us looking for the love of God."
Fish Taco Friday: We only have two more Fish Taco Fridays remaining! Make sure to join us this Friday between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. for fish tacos and grilled cheese sandwiches! Remember, all proceeds benefit this year's Vacation Bible School. Many thanks to the Knights of Columbus volunteers who have made this event a success.
The Annunciation of the Lord: This Saturday, March 25 at 9:00 a.m., we will celebrate the solemnity of The Annunciation of the Lord. During the 5:00 p.m. Vigil Mass we will celebrate the fifth Sunday of Lent.
Triduum: Mark your calendar for the upcoming three-night event beginning with Holy Thursday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m., and concluding with the Easter Vigil on Saturday, April 8 at 8:00 p.m. Afterward, please join us for our Easter Vigil reception in the Hall at 10:00 p.m.
Easter Sunday Mass Schedule: 7:30, 9:30, and 11:30 a.m.
Easter Monday: In observance of Easter, our Parish Office will be closed on Monday, April 10. We will return on Tuesday, April 11 at 8:00 a.m.
If you missed Sunday's bulletin, please take a moment to read my article “If You Were Blind, You Would Have No Sin; But Now You Are Saying, ‘We See,’ So, Your Sin Remains."
Blessings,
- Fr. Kwame
