Dear Saint Charles Borromeo Family:
It recently came to my attention that Fr. Kofi will not be available to attend the farewell reception we had planned for this Saturday, May 20. In lieu of his reception, I encourage everyone who knows Fr. Kofi to write a brief farewell message of thanks, as he will soon be relocating to Nigeria. Blank greeting cards for this purpose will be available in the back of the Church this weekend. Completed cards may be returned to the same location during the following weekend, or to the Parish Office beforehand.
Additional News:
CANCELLED: American Red Cross BLOOD DRIVE: Due to a low number of sign-ups, the American Red Cross has cancelled tomorrow's blood drive. A rescheduled date and time will be published via flocknote and in the bulletin.
"A Family Rosary": During the Month of May we celebrate our Mother, the Virgin Mary. Come join us in a family rosary each Thursday this month. All are welcome at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.
Vacation Bible School Donation Board: Prior to and after Masses this weekend, you may notice a VBS donation board outside of the Church. Our VBS Team requests your support for this year's Vacation Bible School, which promises to be an exciting and enriching event for our children and youth. Your donations will be greatly appreciated!
Baby Bottle Collection: Gather your spare change and fill up those baby bottles! The Knights of Columbus will be outside of the Church before and after Masses this weekend to collect your generous offerings.
Blood Pressure Clinic and "I Love You" Cards: It's time to check your BP and to pick up a special "I love you" card for someone you feel needs a bit of a pick me up. Our Health Ministry members will be in the Keeley Center Plaza on Sunday, May 21 between 8:30 - 10:30 a.m. They (and I) look forward to seeing you there!
Meanwhile, if you missed the Sixth Sunday of Easter's bulletin, please take a moment to read my article, “What's Love Got to Do with Action?”
Blessings, Everyone!
