Backpack Donation Collections
This is the thirty-first year of the
Community Interfaith Student Support Program (CISSP)
Our Backpack Project Will Begin
This Saturday, July 15, and Sunday, July 16
after all Masses and continue through
Saturday, August 12, and Sunday, August 13
This year, we are committed to providing filled backpacks for 76 Elementary and 101 Middle/High School students, plus 155 Kindergarteners. All donations are tax-deductible and go toward the purchase of backpacks and supplies for the project.
You Can Help By:
1. Giving cash or writing a check payable to St. Charles Borromeo and indicating that your donation is for the CISSP backpack project. You may also submit checks in the collection basket, in your weekly contribution envelope, or to a Social Concern Committee representative who will be on hand at all weekend Masses from July 15-16 through August 12-13.
2. Donate online here and select "Backpack Project" from the dropdown menu. You may donate any amount via your credit card.
3. Join the assembly line and help fill backpacks on Wednesday, August 16 at 9:30 a.m. in Borromeo Hall and Keeley Center.
4. Help distribute filled backpacks to schools on Thursday, August 17, at 9:30 a.m., by meeting at the Keeley Center to pick up filled packs and deliver them to assigned school(s).
All donation amounts are gratefully accepted. Thank you and God bless you for your continued generosity and support of this project.
