Dear Saint Charles Borromeo Family:
I am pleased to announce that registration is NOW OPEN for our 2023-2024 Children and Youth Faith Formation programs. Don't miss this opportunity to help bring your children closer to the love of Christ.
Our Faith Formation year will begin on Thursday, September 17, 2023, and conclude on Sunday, May 12, 2024. Details are included below.

- Precious Cup - Beginning this weekend, we will resume serving the Precious Cup of Jesus during Communion. However, please note: If you are not yet comfortable doing so, you are certainly not obligated to partake in the distribution of the Precious Cup.

The Roman Catholic Bishop of Oakland ("RCBO") is pleased the court has set a definitive deadline of September 11, 2023, for survivors of sexual abuse to file claims in RCBO's Chapter 11 case.
This deadline, known as a “Bar Date,” is the date set for all claims to be filed in the Chapter 11 case.
To ensure potential claimants are aware of the Bar Date, the Court has ordered RCBO to post the Notice of Deadline for Filing Sexual Abuse Claims on its digital and physical properties in all its churches, schools, and social media accounts.

Backpack donation collections are in full swing! If you would like to contribute, please make checks to St. Charles Borromeo with “CISSP Backpack Project” noted on your check or tithing envelope and give it to our representatives before or after all weekend Masses through Sunday, August 13.

Additional Ways You Can Help by Volunteering:
- Tuesday, August 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the Keeley Center to help unpack supplies and set up the assembly line for filling packs.
- Wednesday, August 16 in Borromeo Hall at 9:30 a.m. Gather to help fill 332 backpacks.
- Thursday, August 17 at 9:30 a.m. in Borromeo Hall, to help deliver backpacks to assigned schools.

The Crayon Initiative, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to bring happiness to children facing the stress of hospitalization by giving them the freedom that comes with creative play.
We accomplish this by collecting and sorting crayons, melting them down, and re-manufacturing them into a bright, clean, paper-free form. These crayons are then sent free of charge to kids in hospitals all over the country!

Our local food pantries have received donations of eggs in damaged egg cartons. Therefore, we are asking for donations of empty egg cartons (one dozen size) for food pantry workers to repack the undamaged eggs. Please place your egg cartons in the bin marked "Food" outside of the Keeley Center.
