Dear Saint Charles Borromeo Family:
The 12 recent baptisms of children here at St. Charles Borromeo are an encouraging indication of our growing and vibrant community!
Beginning this weekend - and through the month of October - all parishes are asked to provide weekend Mass attendance counts to the Diocese.
May I ask the following question of you?
Should we want to demonstrate the vibrancy of St. Charles Borromeo by coming in person to Mass, each weekend, just to be counted?
Although some might say yes, I hope most of us know our participation at Mass should not be done to “impress the Diocese.”
By receiving the Eucharist in person - served by the hands of loving members of your own parish family - you are not only spiritually nourished with the body and blood of Christ, but you are within the physically present embrace of God!
"Physically present?" you may ask.
In this case, the goodness of God is physically present in the form of the accepting, supportive, and caring community of St. Charles Borromeo parishioners who are seated or standing right next to you.
"Awesome! What on earth could be better?"
Exactly - what could be better? So, I invite you and your family:
COME BACK TO THE CHURCH IN PERSON!
Autumn blessings, and I look forward to seeing you soon.
