Dear Saint Charles Borromeo Family:
With joy and admiration, I congratulate Carmela and Ronaldo Chy, who today are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary! At the conclusion of this morning's 9:00 a.m. Mass, the Chys received a special blessing that was witnessed by several of our staff members. May Carmela's and Ron's strong unity in marriage continue for many years to come.
On a somber note and with great sadness, we learned yesterday that Fr. Bob Mendonça has passed away. Many of you will fondly remember Fr. Bob, as he was the pastor here at St. Charles Borromeo from 2003 to 2008. During Fr. Bob's tenure, the interior of our Church building was remodeled, brightened, and beautified to its current state from its humble origin as a dull grey concrete basketball gym.
