Dear Saint Charles Borromeo Family:
For everyone this evening, I wish a peaceful, safe, and joyful All Hallows' Eve, or the evening before the day of All Saints.
The tradition of Halloween reminds us that tomorrow we will celebrate the Solemnity of All Saints. All Saints' Day is a Holy Day of Obligation, and I look forward to celebrating with you!
Our 9:00 a.m. Mass will include music and will be live-streamed. Our 7:00 p.m. Mass will also feature music, but will not be live-streamed.
Altarcitos: During November of each year, we take time during Mass to remember our dearly departed loved ones. I encourage everyone to bring photos of their loved ones and place them on the altarcito tables located in the statue alcoves on the north side of the Church. Please remember to label the back of each picture with your name and contact information.
As you might imagine, I am getting more excited each day as we approach Saturday's big celebration for the Silver Jubilee (25th anniversary) of my Priestly Ordination. Our Mass on Saturday, which will celebrate the Feast of Saint Charles Borromeo, will begin at 4:00 p.m. - one hour earlier than normal - and will be followed by specially planned festivities in Keeley Center.
Finally, let us not forget to pray both deeply and continually for our brothers and sisters who are suffering during the truly heartbreaking conflict in the Middle East.
Blessings, everyone!
