Dear Saint Charles Parishioners:

Those who attended Mass this weekend were welcomed with a delightful treat...we finally have the TV monitors in the Church! Thank you to all parishioners for your prayers and support.

I want to express my sincere thanks to Jim Oliver for setting up the television monitors in the church. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. The quality of the work is outstanding, and it’s clear that he put a lot of thought and effort into it. We are truly blessed to have someone like Jim in our community. Jim, thank you for your dedication and for helping us enhance our worship experience.

On behalf of myself, our staff, and the entire congregation, I sincerely thank Teri for her generous donation of the TV monitors to our church. Your kindness enriches our gatherings in prayer and brings our community closer together. Your gift is a blessing that will serve our congregation for years to come. May God richly bless you!

Note: This is a new process for all of us, if there are any glitches initially kindly be patient. We will make it work well.

2024 Community Student Support Program Backpack Project…

On behalf of the 2024 backpack project and the St. Charles Social Concerns Committee, I offer a huge "Thank you" to all who have helped to make the 32nd year of this project a huge success! In conjunction with the eight interfaith congregations in Livermore, the CISSP project provided 1,211 Livermore students of families in need, TK/Kindergarten through 12th grade, a new backpack full of supplies for their first day of school. Through your generosity and prayers, St. Charles filled and distributed 80 Middle/High, 265 Elementary, and 222 kindergarten backpacks.

A special thank you to Coach Fabian Franco and members of his high school football team. Thank you to Vince O'pipari leader of the Saint Charles Scouts, and three young students who volunteered their time to carry and unpack huge amounts of supplies and backpacks. Additionally, my gratitude goes out to Jean O'Neil Opipari who worked with me through these last several weeks. Also, thank you Mary Hengl for supporting this program by answering several phone calls, and questions, preparing identification tags for over 1200 backpacks, and helping whenever asked. Finally, Thank you to my husband, who had no idea when he asked me to marry him 31 years ago that he would have to work so hard.

God has blessed this project with your support, generosity, gifts, prayers, and time.

Father Augustine will be Away on Pilgrimage...

Father Augustine will be away on the Italy pilgrimage from Monday, September 2 to Tuesday, September 17. He has requested the community pray for a safe and eventful trip.

Below is a sample prayer that can be recited...

"May the journey be blessed with safety and guidance, each step filled with purpose and devotion. May the hearts of all pilgrims be uplifted, their prayers answered, and their spirits renewed. May they return home with peace, wisdom, and fulfillment, carrying the blessings of their sacred journey."
