Can you believe it? Our St. Charles Borromeo parish is turning 60 this year! Join us for our special Diamond Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, October 27, at 11:45 a.m. in the Plaza. Please note: To accommodate this special event, we will hold just two Masses that day—8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Typhoon Yagi in North Vietnam
Your Prayers and Support will be Appreciated

On a somber note, North Vietnam was struck by a devastating typhoon last week. Our Sister Diocese of Hai Phong has suffered significant loss, both to life and property.

At this time, the storm has caused widespread flooding and landslides, resulting in at least 303 deaths and 34 people who are still missing. Over 241,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged, leaving thousands without shelter.

We ask that you please pray and show your support to the people of North Vietnam, who are in dire need of aid to recover from the devastating effects of Typhoon Yagi.

All donations, large or small, will be helpful and appreciated. Online contributions can be made here by selecting "Vietnam Disaster Relief" from the drop-down menu.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5, from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Fr. Augustine will bless your pet animals on the back lawn. This is always a fun event, and I look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you for your prayers for our pilgrimage. It went quite well. It involved a lot of walking, which was a challenge to some pilgrims. We had Holy Mass every day. We prayed for our community at each sacred place we visited (Saint Mark Church in Venice, Padua, Siena, Assisi, Holy Rosary Church Pompeii, Saint Peter's Rome, churches in Orvieto, Amalfi, and Florence). We experienced an abounding of divine grace. Thank you!
