Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
I invite all parishioners to join our 60th Diamond Jubilee celebration this Sunday, October 27 after the 10:30 a.m. Mass. All are welcome to enjoy a wonderful meal of tri-tip sliders, barbequed chicken sliders, hot dogs, veggie patties, salads, chips, drinks, desserts, and more.
The 60th Jubilee celebration (Diamond Jubilee) of our church marks a remarkable milestone in the congregation's life, reflecting six decades of faith, community, and service. This occasion offers an opportunity to look back with gratitude on the journey that has shaped the church and its members while also looking ahead with hope for the future.
The Jubilee is a time to celebrate the church’s role as a beacon of light in the community, where generations have gathered to worship, grow in faith, and support one another. Over the past 60 years, the church has been a spiritual home to countless families, offering comfort, guidance, and a sense of belonging. The church has undoubtedly witnessed and played a part in many personal and community milestones, including baptisms, weddings, funerals, and numerous outreach programs.
The celebration is not only a time of remembrance but also of recognition for the many people who have contributed to the church’s longevity. From the founding members who laid the foundation to the current congregation who continue to uphold the mission, the church’s enduring strength is built on the dedication and faith of its people. Past and present clergy, church leaders, volunteers, and congregants have all played vital roles in nurturing the spiritual life of the church and its wider community.
As the church enters its next chapter, the 60th Jubilee is an opportunity to recommit to its vision and mission. This could involve expanding services, deepening relationships within the community, and embracing new ways to spread its message of hope and love. The Jubilee celebration reminds everyone that while the church is rooted in tradition, it remains alive and dynamic, ready to meet the challenges of the future.
In this spirit of celebration and renewal, the 60th Jubilee serves as a profound reminder of God’s faithfulness, the power of community, and the church’s ongoing role as a pillar of faith for generations to come.
A special thank you to all of the ministries, staff, and parishioners who have put in many hours of preparation for this event.
Blessings,
- - Father Augustine Joseph
