Dear Parishioners,
Before sharing our recent parish news, I would like to take a moment to ask that we all pray for those who have been affected by the tragic firestorms in Los Angeles. These fires have swept through and destroyed thousands of homes and businesses. If you feel inspired to donate to help, you can do so HERE.
---- FAREWELL ----
One of the most difficult challenges as a parish priest is the constant change within the community and among parish staff. I am not fond of goodbyes. But I have also come to realize that saying farewell is inevitable.
Sometimes, we need to wish staff members farewell so that they can follow their calling from the Holy Spirit. This is not an easy task, and I work very hard to handle the transition in an orderly fashion.
As of last week, Bob Lindberg has decided to resign from his role as business manager, with his final day being February 6, 2025. Throughout his time with St. Charles, he has been an integral part of our staff, and his presence has made an impact on our community. While we will miss his presence and the unique perspective he brought to his work, we are also excited for what lies ahead for him.
Please join me in wishing Bob all the best in his future endeavors and prayers for continued blessings in his journey ahead.
---- WELCOME ----
With enthusiasm, the church community warmly welcomes three new parish staff members… Stephan Paul Clancy (maintenance), Anton Vu (bookkeeper), and Karen Marie Tighe (faith formation assistant)!
Our Maintenance Helper will ensure the upkeep of our facilities, creating a safe and welcoming space for all. The Bookkeeper will manage our financial operations with care and diligence. Our Faith Formation Assistant will support programs that nurture spiritual growth, especially of our children. Together, they enrich our mission and community life.
Let us thank God for our staff members and support and assist them with our prayers.
