Dear Parishioners,
Before discussing upcoming St. Charles events, I want to inform you about changes that will be coming to the parish in March. Many of you are aware that I am not fond of goodbyes. But I have also come to realize that saying farewell is inevitable.
As of Monday, February 10, Mary Hengl has decided to resign from her role as office manager, with her final day being March 10, 2025. Throughout her time with St. Charles, she has been an integral part of our staff and has made an impact on the community. While we will miss her and the unique perspectives she brought to her work, we are also excited to see what lies ahead of her. Join me in wishing Mary all the best in her future endeavors and prayers for continued blessings in the journey ahead.
Sometimes, we need to wish staff members farewell so that they can follow their call from the Holy Spirit. This task is not easy, and I work very hard to handle the transition in an orderly way. I also realize that there are wonderful people who would not have come unless someone had left. We have had changes in parish staff that have resulted in wonderful replacements and new staff members contributing their gifts to the community.
Also, we have profited from new parishioners moving into our parish with some new ideas, new energy, new experiences, and a willingness to share with our community something of what the Lord has been doing in their lives up till now. What a wonderful grace to us all!
Finally, I realize that none of us has here on earth a lasting city. One day we shall all be moving on, and not just to a new community or a new house. We will all one day be moving on to the full realization of the Kingdom of God in heaven. Our moving about here on earth is but a sign of that ultimate move.

• Lenten Mission:
On behalf of myself and Angela Schweig, it’s time to mark your calendars and save the dates for our Lenten Mission. We are honored to welcome renowned John Angotti's return to our parish for this year’s Lenten Mission! The same inspiring artist who led us in a powerful Christmas concert will guide us through three transformative evenings of faith, hope, and healing.
Through Scripture, songs, and stories, John will help us cleanse our spiritual path and prepare our hearts for Lent. Save the dates for March 6, 7, and 9 at 7:00 P.M. here in the Church.
To help make this mission possible, we invite those who are able to consider making a donation. Your support allows us to continue offering meaningful events like this for our parish community.
God Bless,
