Dear Parishioners,
Our Lenten season is upon us! As we take this journey together, let us remember the three key spiritual practices during the season of Lent are prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. This year, we would like to focus more on prayer.
Our Church offers many wonderful opportunities for prayer. Here are some ways to deepen your prayer life during Lent:
- Personal Prayer
- Set aside dedicated time each day for quiet, personal prayer.
- Pray with Scripture (Lectio Divina) to meditate on God’s Word.
- Offer spontaneous prayers throughout the day, lifting your thoughts, struggles, and gratitude to God.
- Communal Prayer
- Participate in daily or weekday Holy Mass.
- Join a Lenten prayer group or Bible study.
- Pray the Stations of the Cross on Fridays to reflect on Christ’s Passion.
- Participate in the Parish Mission (March 6, 7 & 9 at 7:00 p.m.)
- Devotional Prayer
- Pray the Rosary or the Divine Mercy Chaplet regularly.
- Attend Adoration for silent reflection before the Blessed Sacrament.
- Recite the Liturgy of the Hours (Morning, Evening, and Night Prayer).
- 24/7 Prayer chapel: Make time to spend before the blessed sacrament in our chapel. It is a wonderful thing going on at our Church. I see people praying in the chapel at all hours!
- Prayer of Repentance and Mercy
- Make a good Examination of Conscience and go to Confession. Our Lenten Family Reconciliation Service is on Saturday, March 22, at 10:30 a.m. in the Church. Or join our Communal Reconciliation Service on Thursday, April 9, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
- Pray for the grace of conversion and a deeper relationship with Christ.
- Offer intercessory prayers for those in need, including the sick, suffering, and those who have fallen away from faith.

Thank you!
I take this occasion to thank the community for your great generosity. We had over 70 sign-ups to serve the Church as volunteers. Financial support to the Church is rising and increasing, as well as Church attendance. There is a joyful spirit in the community that visitors to our Church comment about.
Thanks be to God. Christus vincit, Christus regnat, Christus imperat (Christ conquers, Christ reigns, Christ commands.) Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16)
