Reconciliation/Confession:
The sacrament of reconciliation or confession is a profound encounter with divine mercy. This sacrament fosters spiritual healing, forgiveness, and renewal, encouraging us to mend relationships with God and others. Embracing grace, we experience inner transformation and a more profound commitment to faith, renewing hope and sacred bonds. Above all, it is striving after the greatest, highest, and best, and not settling for anything less.
The deep trust we have in the mercy of God and the abundance of God’s grace may not, in itself, heal us of our disordered attachment to sin. Sin is like barnacles that attach themselves to another organism and are hard to get rid of by the organism itself.
That is where confession has a role in purifying, cleansing, and reinforcing our journey of faith and our spiritual growth.

Thank You for Our Sacramental Wine:
Harry Galles and Linda Nidever-Galles had their first wine harvest in 2004. They gradually began to make wine. They also sold grapes to local wineries, including Cuda Ridge Winery, Larry and Margie Dino’s (St. Charles parishioners) establishment.
At one point, our Bishop blessed the wine. Ever since, they have been supplying the altar/sacramental wine to Saint Charles Borromeo Church. I want to express our gratitude to Harry and Linda in the name of our church for their great generosity and love for Saint Charles we thank God for them. They have been part of the spiritual nourishment that we experience during the Holy Eucharist!
For the last few years, they have stopped making wine and their stock is nearly over. We also pray that we find a new benefactor to supply us with altar wine!
Some of the famous quotes about wine: “In vino veritas.” “Let the wine flow and good time glow.”
In Harry’s own words, “To have the opportunity to live on the beautiful land that God has created and work the soil for the benefit of others has been a wonderful and life-changing experience.”
In John 6:53-54 Jesus says, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day."
