Dear Parishioners,
On Sunday, May 25, twenty-one of our young adults received the Sacrament of Confirmation. We congratulate the confirmandi, their parents, and family for taking this important step in their faith journey.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is a powerful moment in the life of a young Catholic. It’s more than just a tradition—it’s a personal “yes” to God and to the faith planted in Baptism. For young adults, Confirmation comes at a time when they are searching for purpose, values, and direction. This sacrament strengthens them with the gifts of the Holy Spirit, helping them make wise choices and live their faith with courage.
In Confirmation, young people are not only blessed but also called. They are called to be full members of the Church—active in prayer, service, and community life. It’s a commitment to walk with Christ and to stand for Gospel values in a world that often challenges them. It’s also a reminder that they are never alone; God’s Spirit is with them always.
This sacrament also deepens their connection with the Church. Being confirmed among a community of believers shows that faith is not just personal—it’s something we live out together. Young adults are invited to discover their gifts and use them to serve others, lead with integrity, and grow in their relationship with Christ.
I would like to thank Katie Mageeney, Youth Confirmation Coordinator, for all her hard work and commitment to this wonderful program.
As a parish, let us continue to pray for and support those preparing for Confirmation. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit and inspired to live bold, faithful lives.
A Prayer for Our Confirmandi:
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of our young people.
Strengthen them with your gifts,
guide them with your wisdom,
and set their hearts on fire with your love.
May they always walk in your light
and never be afraid to follow Christ.
Amen.
