Congratulations to Deacon Martin Padilla on his ordination to the Sacred Order of Deacons on October 11! This joyful milestone marks the fruit of years of prayer, formation, and dedication to serving God’s people. As a deacon, Martin is called to proclaim the Gospel, serve at the altar, and bring Christ’s love to those most in need. His “yes” to God’s call is a profound witness of faith and humility, reflecting the heart of Christ the Servant.
May the Holy Spirit strengthen him with wisdom, compassion, and zeal as he begins this new ministry of service. The entire community rejoices and prays for abundant blessings upon Deacon Martin, his family, and all who supported him along the way. Deacon Martin Padilla has just been appointed to Saint Charles Borromeo by Bishop Barber. Deacon Martin becomes part of the clergy, together with Deacon Dave and myself here at Saint Charles.

Oktoberfest was more than just a celebration—it was a beautiful reminder of the joy that comes from gathering as a community. Together, we created lasting memories, strengthened parish bonds, and shared in the spirit of fellowship.
