This year, one of the economic difficulties for many, the requests for help via the Giving Tree increased substantially over prior years. The Social Concerns Committee was not sure the parish could meet the demand.
But St. Charles was able to provide all the requests in abundance. 304 individuals of all ages received 454 gifts, with an estimated total value of over $25,000. In addition, gift cards totaling $15,465 were given to 430 individuals and 30 families.
Thank you to everyone who generously supported the Giving Tree with volunteer time and gifts. You put your faith in action to bring the true spirit of Christmas to so many this year!
