Before attending Mass this weekend,
be sure to read the Special Instructions,
which can be found at the bottom of this Flocknote.
Dear St. Charles Family:
First of all, I am very sad to announce this morning's passing of Rudy Montano - loving husband of Pauline, and beloved longtime member of our community. Our prayers go out to Pauline and Rudy's family. When funeral arrangements have been finalized, I will communicate them to you.
Regarding the upcoming services for Kim Swinkels, the viewing will occur on Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM and resume Thursday morning from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM.
The Funeral Mass for Kim will begin on Thursday at 11:00 AM, and we will not be holding the weekday 9:00 AM Mass.
Attendees in the Church will consist of the Swinkels family and their invited guests. Additional attendees may register on Kim's Memorial Page and can be seated in Borromeo Hall to view the live video, or can be seated in the lawn area behind the church, where a loudspeaker will provide the audio.
NOTE: Because this week is extraordinarily busy, we will postpone this Thursday's ADULT BIBLE STUDY Zoom session until next week. The completion of recent Zoom videos has been postponed as well.
As promised, however, you may now make reservations for attending Mass in person by clicking on the appropriate Sign-Up button above.
Over the past week, I have received considerable input from our ministers and community concerning our opening while the coronavirus continues to spread.
After careful reflection, I have decided upon the following plan, which includes a few changes for weekday Masses:
MASSES:
- Saturday 5:00 PM - In-person Vigil Mass - Sign-up reservations are required. (No music, no live-stream. Communion will be available for attendees only).
- Sunday 9:30 AM - In-person Mass - Sign-up reservations are required. (Live-streamed, with music.) Afterward, our entire community is invited for Communion between 11:00 AM and Noon.
- All weekday Masses will be live-streamed only: no in-person participation.
- Monday's live streams will include pre-recordings of the First Reading and Responsorial Psalm, along with Reflections from the scheduled lay presiders.
RECONCILIATION:
(Sign-up reservations are required)
- Fridays - 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - Lawn Area
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:
(Sign-up reservations are required)
- After the live-streamed Mass, on the first Friday of each month, we will hold an Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament (9:30 am to 6:30 pm), and in-person Adoration; Benediction/reposition at 6:30 pm.
THEREFORE:
The only in-person services will be Confessions on Friday, Adoration on First Friday, and Weekend Masses on Saturday and Sunday.
