Dear St. Charles Family:
As you know, we've been praying for Karen Miller each day for a number of weeks. Many of you have been asking about her health, and about ways in which you can help. Thanks to Noah Arroyo (Karen's nephew) you may read an ongoing journal about her status on the Caring Bridge Website for Karen Miller.
Additionally, you may contribute to help Karen financially on a GoFundMe Page that Debbie Berndt set up for this purpose. Thank you to Debbie and to Noah, and to all of you who are supporting Karen with your prayers and in other ways.
Let us also keep Helen Martin and her family in our minds and in our prayers. Helen, who is the wife of CCOP's Deacon Dick Martin, recently took a fall. Unfortunately, her wounds cannot be healed. As a result, Helen is now being kept comfortable. (Please do not phone or text, as she will not be able to reply.) Additionally, Dick himself is in memory care. Therefore we pray for both Helen and Dick, and for their entire family.
In other news, please note that the church and rectory parking lots will be closed for maintenance and re-sealing next Tuesday and Wednesday (August 18-19).
Meanwhile, I look forward to seeing you on Zoom this evening, when our Adult Bible Study topic will be Stories in the Book of Epistles and the Apocalypse. To Join the Zoom Meeting, Click HERE.
Although tonight will be the last of this season's Q&A and Adult Bible Study Zoom Sessions, do not worry, as a fresh new series will begin in October.
Also, during the September break period (thanks to assistance volunteered by Crystal Meyer), you will be able to watch videos from earlier this season, as the backlog of previous Zoom meeting videos will be released during that time.
On this topic, the completion of Adult Bible Study videos has been given first priority. For example, session #9 is already complete and has just been added to the Adult Bible Study Video Playlist.
Continued blessings to each one of you,
Fr. Kwame
